...this time last year.
it was insane.
beyond insane.
add was just a few days old.
every new baby is an adjustment. your life changes completely, yadda yadda yadda.
throw in some major feeding difficulties, and NO sleep, and you are wishing someone would just commit you. i know most parents are sleep deprived when they bring their little one's home, but i am talking, feeding and pumping every two hours around the clock. for realz. NO sleep.
needless to say, i was completely oblivious to Christmas happening. i was lucky if i could take a shower for rudolph's sake.
fast forward one year, and Christmas is here in a whole new way.
the mister and i are working on developing some new traditions of our own-such as both of us waking with the boy early Christmas morning to read him the true story of what the day means-the Barefoot Contessa's espresso rubbed steaks, and lots of egg nog (and lactaid).
It's a different feeling-the Holiday's with a little one. I love it.
Except the not sleeping in part.

It's nuts isn't it? I can't believe how tired we were this time last year. Of course this whole toddler thing isn't easy either. Ah ha ha
oh girl...before we know it our little guys will be 16 and taking a date to prom that we hate and we have to hold back the comments about their terrible dresses and bad makeup. We will think back and laugh (or cry) about sleepless nights, teething, nursing, the whole bit.
I am so glad that you can enjoy the holidays this year, have a blast! We love you guys! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you, Gina!!!
