It's not too hot for hotcakes.

It's INSANE here in the KC. Temperatures that are not even worth mentioning because I will start to sweat.
So, let's turn on the stove, shall we?
I bookmarked this recipe in House Beautiful Months ago, and decided to give them a try this afternoon. They are a Curtis Stone recipe, and he never disappoints. Thank God the mister has been working from home this week, or big mamma would have tipped the scales at her check-up this afternoon. They are that good. The ricotta makes all the difference.
Super easy to make, and I am sure they would work with many variations. Except maybe ground beef.

Total side note, but did any of you ever watch The take home chef? I miss that show. I love how he was able to scout out the women who only drove cars over 50 grand and had kitchens that were equipped with viking stoves.

I grew up in an Italian family that put ricotta in everything. No kidding. So I'm not surprised that it made your pancakes so yummy. They sound heavenly and I think I just gained a few ounces reading about them (so worth it, yes?). You are so right about take home chef (but hey, what a super hot, hot Aussie chef...aah..) He only happened to find the rich gals walking around. The rest of us with humble kitchens didn't make the cut. Darn.

I loved that show! And those kitchens were always clean too.
Those hotcakes look so yummy.

Those kitchens were always impeccable! And I loved how the women always went to go change and freshen up--after they got their wine buzz on with Curtis.

And from now on I am going to put ricotta in everything!

Curtis Stone = HAWT. When I was on bedrest laid up in the hospital, I watched Take Home chef EVERY SINGLE DAY and PRAYED that someone would tip him off that I was about to birth triplets and could use a hot Aussie in the kitchen.

If he stopped by my house now, he would be disgusted by the filth. And come on now, Gina - don't tell me YOU wouldn't get your wine buzz on with Big C....
